Founded in June 2003 by Anita Van Zeeland, AVZ Accounting & Tax Inc. has over 20 years of experience delivering trusted accounting, tax, and bookkeeping services. Built on a foundation of trust and excellence, our firm was created to provide personalized and reliable financial support to small and medium-sized businesses, as well as individuals managing their financial obligations.

Anita Van Zeeland
With a passion for helping others and a strong background in accounting and tax, Anita Van Zeeland founded AVZ Accounting & Tax Inc. Her journey began at a young age, learning bookkeeping fundamentals while working at Foxboro Grocery. Excelling in math, analytics, and detail-oriented work, Anita naturally gravitated toward a career in accounting.
Driven by a desire to assist more individuals and businesses, Anita launched her own firm to provide personalized bookkeeping, tax, and CRA support. She wanted to move beyond serving a single employer as a Controller or CFO and instead offer customized solutions to a wider community. Over the years, she has helped countless clients navigate complex financial challenges, safeguarding their well-being and preventing costly mistakes.
With over four decades of professional experience, Anita combines her expertise with a love for creating and problem-solving. Though not originally from the area, she feels right at home and is proud to serve the community she now calls her own—offering the trusted, professional accounting services clients can rely on.
